INTERCEPT SHRINKFILM is the world’s first anti-corrosive shrinkfilm using a non-chemical-emitting, anti-corrosive, permanent anti-static resin developed by Lucent Technologies Bell Labs. INTERCEPT is designed to protect industrial equipment and aircraft during storage and shipment.

Having manufactured and distributed "high quality" shrinkfilm for over 20 years, FPM Incorporated now ups the ante in the shrinkfilm industry by increasing your long-term storage options. Working with shrinkfilm has always had its limitations in regards to long-term storage. Although our shrinkfilm meets and exceeds the needs of our customers, we felt that increasing the time-exposure factor of our shrinkfilm was the next logical step in the evolution of our polyethylene shrinkfilms. Imagine being able to store vehicles and machinery in harsh conditions for up to five years. Think it's impossible? Well FPM has made it possible!
The Shrinkwrap Coating System is comprised of one or a multitude of coatings, each designed for specific applications and specific shrinkfilms. The water-based coating currently used in most applications is comprised of single-component, water-based, 100% acrylic latex coatings. The coating is intended for application over heat-shrunk polyethylene shrinkfilms.
Armorshield Plus™ Technical Specifications
Armorshield Plus™ is a heat-shrinkable material, offering a strong protective cover with water-wicking properties. This also is the material with which FPM Inc. makes kits. This shrinkfilm is composed of three layers.
Prior to shrinking, the material is sufficiently strong to allow sewing, further allowing for the creation of custom-fit kits, bags, covers, etc. When shrunk, all three layers shrink simultaneously, forming a softer yet stronger finished product;the film is safe and it contains no solvents or other harmful vapors. Independent testing shows only up to a 40°F ambient temperature increase during a typical heat shrinking process. The material will maintain its properties under extreme temperatures and the unique laminating process allows the film to remain soft without altering the original characteristics of the inner and outer layers.
Armorshield Plus is 100% US made. The materials are recyclable in a mixed material recycle process with the fibers adding strength to many recycling products.
